About Us
Capricorn House was constructed in 1876 by a sea captain from New Bedford, and began its journey as a summer residence. Over the years, it transitioned into a welcoming inn, hosting travelers from around the world. In 2007, the property underwent thoughtful renovations to preserve its Victorian essence while integrating modern amenities.We have seven individually styled guest rooms, each adorned with antique furnishings and bright, cheerful décor. Guests can enjoy modern comforts such as private bathrooms, with select rooms featuring private balconies that offer stunning ocean views. The expansive wraparound porches provide the perfect setting to relax and soak in the panoramic vistas of Nantucket Sound.Situated just 0.7 miles from the heart of Oak Bluffs, Capricorn House offers easy access to a plethora of attractions.
